IDFC - Crunch an airplane, take a month.

It's been almost one year since my last incident. An incident that the Company contributed to,  but addressed in a half-hearted effort called 5-S.

I participated in the 5-S program, cleaning up and organizing the area involved with my accident. My co-workers, in my work location, have consistently followed systems called for in the company Programs Manual. They followed these rules even after much resistance from other areas of the organization. Resistance that continues to this day.

IDFC is the stock symbol for an Indian infrastructure investment firm.

What  I learned after a month without pay is,...
If the company could have fired you, the company would have. Be happy it was only a month. Oh, and flightpath was a waste of money because after one month off, I'm no longer a cheerleader, or a follower.

I also learned that AMFA representatives will also testify at your grievance hearing supporting the company's position.

Did I take responsibility for what happened? Yes.
Did the company take responsibility for contributing factors? Um, Kinda.  Through 5-S.

Am I happy? You be the judge.
Is the company happy? I don't think they really care. If they did, there were a multitude of other choices available in response to the accident.

IDFC could be an acronym for something else.

There are some that feel that I should feel lucky to have a job. There are those who have done far MORE damage to aircraft and didn't lose even an hour of pay. There are those who did far more damage and were promoted into management. It used to be called "F-up, move up". Only it was spelled out for you.

IDFC - go buy some stock.

... or let me spell it out for you.

There. That felt good. Don't harsh it dude.
